Photobiological Safety
Tests whether a light source poses a hazard to skin or eyes across five categories: actinic UV, near-UV, retinal blue-light, retinal thermal, and infrared radiation. The LED emitters used in FootRevive were classified in the Exempt Group — the safest classification the standard allows. The lab’s summary: the radiation from the LED does not exceed the values given in EN 62471:2008.

Near-Infrared · 850nm Nominal
Measured peak wavelength of 849.8nm. Near-infrared light in this range penetrates deeper into tissue than visible red light.
EN 62471 sorts light sources into four groups by hazard potential. Exempt is the safest level — the source poses no photobiological hazard under any of the five tested categories. The LEDs in FootRevive passed every Exempt Group criterion.
